East Midlands Trains Network Rail
Service in the Sheffield area is on schedule to be completed on time by 13 December

You may have already noticed that Network Rail is carrying out essential engineering work on the line between Sheffield and Chesterfield stations. This includes making improvements to the track lining and drainage system of the Bradway Tunnel. The work is also affecting the area around Sheffield, altering the Sheffield – London and Liverpool – Nottingham – Norwich services.

Not to worry, all work should be completed by Saturday 13 December

Until then, the Sheffield to London services will be diverted, which increases your journey time by about 10 minutes. Also, some services may not start or finish at their usual destinations and may not stop at all stations either. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

The Liverpool – Nottingham – Norwich route will split at Chesterfield and Sheffield, so please allow extra time for these changes. Your patience is very much appreciated.
